Arleigh is a dedicated performer, student, and dance instructor; her passion for dance, since the age of six, has led her to many of her accomplishments. She studied several genres of dance including, ballet, jazz, lyrical, modern, hip hop, and musical theatre. She has completed her intermediate Cecchetti Ballet exam, and trained at the Quinte Ballet School of Canada Summer intensive, for two summers, resulting in an offer to join the program full time. Arleigh received several awards commending her commitment and love for dance. She was also a competitive dancer winning top awards in local and international competitions. Arleigh enjoys participating in dance conventions and workshops, having the honor of working with world-class choreographers, such as; Blake McGrath, Alison Holker, and
Arleigh is currently in her second year at Lakehead University, studying Kinesiology and concurrent education. This program incorporates her passion for dance, health, and fitness, as well as her love for working with children. Arleigh is also employed by the City of Thunder Bay working at Chippewa Summer Camps, and at an after school program. She has completed the high 5 training, and implements the high 5 principles into all her work with children.
Through out high school, Arleigh has been training as a dance assistant in ballet, jazz, and kinder dance classes preparing her to become a teacher on her own.Last year she successfully taught recreational dance classes for Legacy and is enthusiastic about teaching more in the years to come. Arleigh is looking forward to the year ahead as part of the talented staff at Legacy Performing Arts Company.
